Amaranta Dress in Indigo Soul

Our tiered Amaranta dress is beautifully comfortable and made from luxe hand dyed + block printed organic cotton. It is the perfect summer dress, but also pairs nicely with a long sleeve tee on cooler days. Like many of our other styles, it features coconut shell buttons for style, sustainability and a reminder of all things tropical :-).

Design inspiration: Amaranta is the Spanish variant of a feminine name meaning ‘flower that never fades’. We love this dress for it’s respectful fusion design ideal for a tiny world citizen. A tiered dress like many traditional Central American dancing skirts, a summery, easy wear style perfect for Australian sunshine days and beautiful paisley + indigo reminiscent of South Asia.

Fabric: Organic cotton, hand block printed. The outer dress fabric was discharge dyed + printed according to traditional Asian methods using natural gum resins. The bodice lining fabric was dyed locally for this very small batch with regular industry dyes (not eco friendly).

Made: India under fair trade working conditions

Care: Gentle machine wash cold using mild detergent. Do not scrub. Line dry in shade.

* Please be aware that block printing does contain what some might consider ‘imperfections’. These are not faults, but sign of the human process by which the fabric was printed. We believe these slight differences give our items character and evidence the wonderfully human element present during their making.
